Best Advice for Someone Doing Track Days: Smooth and consistent. Learn to be fluid and relax. It isn't about the lap time as much as it is about how smooth and consitent you are. If you get to that fast lap time and you have nothing in reserve, things can get VERY sketchy quickly. Developing smoothness and being as fluid as possible may slow you down at first, but you will be better in the long run and blow right through that target lap time. Finally, ASK FOR HELP from instructors! They should be watching and coming around, but ask if you need help! It's why we are here!
