2024 Barber Small Bore Information

Sportbike Track Time is proud to be hosting track time and racing at Barber Motorsports Park Small Bore on May 31, June 1, and June 2 2024!

Please read this information carefully as many details are new for 2024!

Please note that STT's Barber Small Bore events are taking place at the Barber Motorsports Park Proving Grounds and there is no power available.  Click here to learn more about Barber's Proving Grounds!


Small Bore Track Time Sessions

Each Small Bore registration is for one 15 minute track time session on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, depending on which is purchased.

NEW FOR 2024: Two skill groups will be available: Group A (Advanced and Racer Practice) and Group B (Novice and Intermediate riders). Please note that there are a maximum of 16 sessions on Friday, 4 sessions on Saturday, and 16 sessions on Sunday. You can purchase as many 15 minute track sessions as you’d like (up to the maximum for the day), to be redeemed at the MiniGP track.

TIME SLOTS: Visit the trackside registration team to sign up for your time slots (these are on a first come, first serve basis)! Group A sessions will be on the hour and the half hour (e.g., 8:00 and 8:30); Group B sessions will be on the 15 and 45 (e.g., 8:15 and 8:45). Click here for the full schedule!

REQUIREMENTS: CC Requirements for Track Time Sessions: 200cc and below (100ccs for 2 stroke machines). Age Requirements for Track Time Sessions: 11 years old and older.

Sportbike Track Time staff reserves the right to move riders to a different skill group at any time.

ADMISSION: The price for the 15-minute trackday sessions does NOT include general admission to Small Bore. You must purchase a general admission ticket at the Barber Motorsports gate to Small Bore to enter the event, and then show your MiniGP sessions receipt at the proving grounds registration table.



Small Bore Races

NEW FOR 2024: For the safety of our participants, all riders registered for either Small Bore race must participate in one of four qualifying rounds on Saturday from 8am-9am. See the registration team to reserve your qualifying time early, as spots are limited! In the event a rider does not qualify for either race, they are welcome to participate in our new exhibition race on Sunday at 10am! All competitors must qualify within 110% of the top qualifying time for each race. Registration for only one race is permitted; your qualifying time will determine what race you will compete in.

TRANSPONDERS:  We are using the MyLaps X2 system that requires the transponders to be the AMB red or yellow transponders.   You are welcome to bring your own; if you do not have a transponder, they will be available to rent trackside for $25.00 per day.  Please include your transponder number in your order notes or email the office after registering.

REQUIREMENTS:  Age Requirements for Races: 16 years old and older; CC Requirements for Races: 200cc and below (100ccs for 2 stroke machines). 

Sportbike Track Time staff reserves the right to remove any rider from any race for failing to maintain an appropriate pace for that race.


Small Bore Amateur Race

The Small Bore Amateur Race registration is for the Amateur Small Bore Race at 10am on Saturday, for individuals only; no teams.  Click here for the full schedule!

Please include your transponder number in your order notes or email the office after registering.

This race is for amateurs only; no racers permitted.  If you have prior racing experience, you are welcome to compete in our Endurance Race instead!


Small Bore Endurance Race

The Small Bore Endurance Race registration is for the 2 hour Endurance Race at 12pm on Saturday, for a team of up to 4 people.  Click here for the full schedule!

Only 1 person per team should register, but the office does need the following information either in the order notes when registering, or in an email:

    Team Name (teams will be named after their lead if a team name is not selected) 

    Transponder number (if bringing your own)

    Teammates' names

    Teammates' email addresses

    Teammates' telephone numbers

      NOTE:  Previous competition experience IS REQUIRED for this registration.  If you do not have prior racing experience, you are welcome to compete in our amateur race after receiving an evaluation to do so during our track time!

      The endurance race team leader will receive free general admission for the day with the purchase of their race registration. Show your receipt for free entry at the Barber Motorsports gate!  Please note that this offer is only valid for the team leader listed on the roster.  All crew members, teammates, and spectators must purchase daily admission to the Small Bore festival.
